Scope of works: Wide-ranging water treatment package covering water hygiene & closed systems, mechanical servicing and kitchen extract cleaning.
Brief:
• Monthly routine and reactive sampling and monitoring across 5 campuses
• Closed system testing & remedial dosing
• Pump servicing across 5 campuses
• Kitchen extract cleaning
Deliverables:
• All sites met within clients required timeframes, and works scheduled to coincide with holiday periods
• Reports issued to the client highlighting problem areas for remedial action
• Completion of remedial works from risk assessments to reduce the inherent risk from legionella
• Cleaning of kitchen extract systems to reduce the fire risk to sites
Key Issues / Solutions
• Potential future development of the sites has meant that alternative solutions to certain mechanical issues need to be sought. This included installation of low cost solid chlorine dosing units to help manage legionella positives
• Tank replacements and bypasses in various locations to reduce the stored water capacity of site, and reduce the risk from legionella
• Review and design consultation of water systems in a 10 floor new building as it came online
